Summer Beginner Horse Camp

Nobility Stables’ Summer Beginner Horse Camp introduces young riders to horses in a safe, structured, and fun environment. Designed for first-time and novice riders ages 4–12, our two day camp builds foundational horsemanship skills, confidence, and a lasting appreciation for horses.

What campers will do

  • Daily mounted lessons: Safe, progressive instruction in basic riding position, steering, stopping, and trotting using well-trained lesson horses and experienced instructors.

  • Horsemanship fundamentals: Grooming, tacking and untacking, basic horse care, and understanding horse behavior and body language.

  • Stable management: Routine chores such as stall and paddock care, feeding basics, and tack cleaning to teach responsibility and respect for animals.

  • Safety and rules: Emphasis on helmet use, proper footwear, and barn safety; all campers receive an orientation on how to be safe around horses.

  • Crafts and learning activities: Horse-themed crafts, short lessons on anatomy and breeds, and team-building exercises.

Camp structure

  • Schedule: Friday & Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

  • Instructor ratio: Low camper-to-instructor ratio to ensure individual attention and safe instruction.

  • Equipment: Helmets provided; campers should bring closed-toe shoes or paddock boots, long pants, sunscreen, water bottle, and a packed lunch.

  • Skill levels: Designed for beginners; no prior riding experience required. Riders are grouped by age and ability when appropriate.

  • Health and safety: Staff are certified in basic first aid; emergency procedures are in place. Required medical and emergency contact forms must be submitted before the first day.

  • Dates and fees: June 19-20, July 31-August 1, August 14-15

    • Fees include instruction, horse use, and daily activities. Limited spots available—early registration recommended.

  • Cancellation and refund policy: $50 non-refundable deposit required to hold a spot.
